The body is poplar that only had a couple streaks in it so I thought it would be a good candidate for a transparent finish. Man, was I right! Shot with tinted lacquers and finished flat. Super nice in person. The neck is fast, the action, low, the tuners are 18:1 smooth and locking! The pickup is a custom, medium output alnico 5 humbucker that sounds like Billy Gibbons when run through a high gain amp. So sweet. It's also 4 lead so I wired it up to a push/pull pot to split to a single for that Tele twang.
