The Nash S81 Custom – Paint Over Paint Swirl is a stunning and sonically fierce instrument that perfectly balances vintage soul with modern attitude. Built with an Alder body, this guitar delivers the familiar warmth and resonance that define classic single-coil tone while offering excellent clarity and note definition. What makes this particular S81 stand out is its custom paint-over-paint swirl finish, an eye-catching, artful layer of color and texture that captures the spirit of individuality and creativity. The light aging treatment adds just the right amount of character—subtle checking, soft edge wear, and gentle patina—giving the guitar an authentically played-in feel without overdoing the relic aesthetic.

The Maple neck and Rosewood fretboard create a balanced tonal foundation, combining snap and smoothness for a responsive playing experience across the full range. With a thin “C” neck profile and a 12" fretboard radius, the S81 offers a comfortable and fast-playing surface ideal for expressive bends, intricate solos, and fluid rhythm work. The 3-ply black pickguard provides a classic contrast against the vibrant swirl finish, adding a refined yet rock-ready touch to its appearance.

Electronics are a key part of what makes the Nash S81 so dynamic. Outfitted with Dimarzio FS-1 pickups in the neck and middle positions, and a Dimarzio Super Distortion in the bridge, this guitar covers an impressive tonal spectrum—from crisp, punchy single-coil clarity to fat, high-output aggression. The FS-1s deliver muscular Strat-style tones with enhanced midrange presence, while the Super Distortion brings thick sustain and powerful drive that can push an amp into glorious saturation. Together, these pickups make the S81 an incredibly versatile instrument—equally comfortable in blues, classic rock, fusion, or hard rock contexts.

Complete with a hard case for reliable protection, the Nash S81 Custom Paint Over Paint Swirl embodies the best of boutique craftsmanship, tonal versatility, and visual artistry. It’s a player’s guitar through and through—bold, expressive, and built to inspire on stage or in the studio.
