This M2M (Made-to-Measure) 1959 Les Paul in Cherry Sunburst comes from the Murphy Lab at the Custom Shop and is not just a replica of the priceless original, it is a veritable clone. From the contours, which were captured by laser scan, to the chemical composition of the plastic parts and exact color matching, every element of this guitar has been researched in detail. The wealth of experience of the experts at the Gibson Custom Shop is evident here, offering Les Paul aficionados the greatest possible authenticity.
In the Murphy Lab, this Les Paul was given an Ultra Heavy Aged Finish. Together with the aged hardware, this gives the guitar the authentic look and feel of the historic original from Gibson's golden era.
The Custom Buckers (Alnico III, unpotted) sound exactly like their legendary predecessors, the old PAFs: transparent, compact, and rich in substance in every playing situation. This '59 offers unbeatable vintage flair and fantastic playing pleasure!
