The AKG B 15 In-Line 12V Battery Power Supply for Phantom-Powered Microphones is a battery-driven unit that can be used with any condenser mic accepting low-impedance 12V phantom power (i.e., most phantom-powered mics). It works with AKG's C 4 through PP models in the MicroMic III Series and also attaches directly to the C 430 overhead MicroMic via XLR connections.

Battery-operated phantom power supplies are handy when recording wirelessly from a boom pole, for example, since the mic can't reach a mixer or channel strip for power. The B 15 is the same diameter as an XLR cable and only 6.0" (15.24 cm) long.

The Power Supply provides an average 30 hours of electricity from a single AAA battery for a lightweight, easy-to-manage solution. Its integrated on/off switch also helps prolong battery life.
