This is an extremely rare, collectible ¾ double bass bridge from William Lewis & Son of Chicago, a renowned importer of fine string instruments beginning around 1922. Known for sourcing the finest, naturally seasoned European tonewoods, their bridges and instruments were crafted with exceptional skill and precision.
This particular bridge is a true heirloom-quality piece:
- Uncut and never used
- Well-seasoned aged maple

- Marked with “WLS” carved into the heart and kidneys
