This guitar started out as a Sire L7 series 1; at the time I bought it, it was the only one available in this color, and it was in Spain. Fedex dented it somewhere in Spain or France on its way to me (see pictures of back lower bout). The seller shipped it as is (Sires don't usually come with cases or gig bags); I have provided a serviceable, new hardcase. $100.00 discount for the dent.

I then removed most of the hardware (the tuners stayed as they were chrome and locking all ready). The bridge is now a Faber Tonelock with lightweight tailpiece, the electronics were removed and replaced with a USA wiring harness from RS Guitarworks, 22uf cap for the bridge, 15uf for the neck pickup with CTS superpots for volume on each pickup. This is a 1960's style LP wiring harness. The pickups were replaced with Tonespecific Vintage 59 PAFs. The result is a fabulous guitar with the Sire strong points, especially the Satin, edge-rolled neck, with huge upgrades in electronic components made in America (the three-way switch and output jack are Switchcraft, wired with shielded braid).
