Peluso P87 mic in stock at Portland’s Tidepool Audio - Free shipping!
The Peluso P-87 is styled after the legendary 1970's Neumann U87i microphone. Versatile and reliable with warm well-balanced character, the '87 is perfect for a wide range of recording applications. In the 1960's as Neumann began using phantom power and FET transistors in place of vacuum tube circuits they released the U 87i. The Peluso P87 captures the sound and magic of this, perhaps the most popular microphone ever made. The P-87 comes with three on-board polar patterns, -10 dB pad, and low-end roll-off switches. We achieve the balanced output with a generously sized output transformer, eliminating interference and distortion. This is a faithful tribute to the cornerstone of any well-equipped project studio microphone locker.
Acoustically matched pairs available upon special request.
Microphone kit comes as a complete system: P87 Microphone in velvet bag, Shock Mount, Hard Mount, Foam Wind Screen, all packed in a travel case.
