1997 Fender Buddy Guy Stratocaster Guitar In Honey Blonde with Original Gold Lace Sensor Pickups and Swamp Ash Body. A super collectible early version guitar. Weighs approx. 7.4 pounds.
From my personal collection. Working perfectly. Provided with case and swag as seen in the photos. All original, unmolested.
This guitar was originally modeled after Buddy Guy’s original 1957 Fender Stratocaster. Neck is a special V, 50’s style but not too thick. Very comfortable neck. Has 25db midboost. Eric Clapton’s signature Fender guitar was modeled after this guitar as Buddy Guy was Clapton’s hero. The two guitars are nearly identical.
The guitar shows mild play, see pics. There is a small wooden plug piece that inserts in the truss rod adjustment area, it is a finish piece only. It is missing but easily replaced. Tweed case shows use and is not mint.
