The 2014 USA Guthrie Govan is the one everyone wants — the first proper USA production run, with that stunningly figured Birdseye neck and fingerboard. These builds are legendary for a reason — the fretwork, neck feel and dynamic response are world-class.
This is a guitar built to handle anything: fusion, modern prog, high-gain clarity, glassy cleans — and it never chokes, never fights you. The HSH + 5-way combination gives an absurd number of usable tones — it’s one of the most intelligently voiced pickup layouts ever put into a production superstrat.
The Birdseye figuring on these early USA Govan models is extreme — this is the era collectors chase.
