Notes: This beautiful Martin D-41 Custom was built in 1981 for Melody Shops and is 1 of 12. The guitar features a spruce top, indian rosewood back and sides, ebony fingerboard. The guitar is in amazing shape with no top cracks, loose braces, or bridge lift. The guitar has been reviewed by Travis Wade of Wade Guitars here in Fort Worth - his findings were some minor lift on the center seam binding on the back, the top was solid, the action is playable and at a medium height, but with no truss rod and the age of the instrument a neck reset would be needed to achieve super low action. The guitar has tons of life left in it and is more than playable now but we want disclose the need for a neck reset in the future if super low action is desired. The guitar has some killer case candy with it as well, a letter from Martin authenticating the guitar and rarety of the instrument, a matching strap, some songs written by the original owner, a cool pin and serial number chart. The guitar sounds and plays amazing and is ready for its new home.
