This one’s the real deal — a 1976 Gibson Les Paul Standard that’s been around the block, played its share of gigs, and come out the other side with more mojo than ever. It’s rock-solid, road-proven, and ready for another few decades of stage time.

This one has character. There’s no shortage of minor wear, but it’s all the good kind — earned, not inflicted. It’s been refretted at some point in its long life, and the frets are in great shape now. Most of the original parts are still right where they belong, and the electronics have been smartly updated while keeping the original pickups in place.

The finish? A rare and gorgeous Tobacco Sunburst, that perfect balance of warmth and attitude. The neck is solid, straight, and free of the dreaded “Gibson smile.” It’s been completely gone through and set up by Wendell Walker himself — our resident master and the man whose name is literally on the door.

It comes with its original hard case — hinges and latches in good shape, aside from the locking latch that’s seen better days (just like most of us from the ’70s).
