This pedal was tested and it works fine.

Some parts (the light blue electrolytic can capacitors) are dated 1980  (H8038).  1980, 38th week.

  • See close-up picture # 7 (light blue electrolytic can capacitors on the circuit board). Picture # 8 is a wide view picture (with a pencil pointing to this part) so that you can see where the part in picture # 7 is inside the pedal (on the circuit board).

This Analogman link shows you / gives you information on how to date certain pedal parts (internal components):

  • analogman.com/tshist.htm
  • Scroll down about 1/ 2 way to the section called: "Ts9 circuit parts."
  • TS9 pedal is NOT for sale in the listing that you are looking at now. The info in the Analogman link are for reference and to educate you about this kind of info.
  • And in case you did not know - back in the 70s, 1980s, 1990s, and I'm pretty sure - even in the early 2000s - MAXON was a company that was affiliated with Ibanez.

Please refer to the MANY pictures that I took to see it's condition. Here are some written details about the condition of some of the areas / parts.

NOTE: As you can see from the pictures -- the casing's finish has several tiny /very small bumps that kind of look like bubbles (most are grouped together). The has several small / very small chips, a few tiny / very small nicks, a few short / very short scratches.

BOTTOM SIDE -- the area where the label would have been has some surface residue (from the adhesive). Other side the rubber on the bottom is very clean.

The KNOBS are mostly fine. The top areas have a few very tiny link nicks and some extremely light surface wear / scuffs (really nothing serious or that noticeable).

The inside of the pedal ) the circuit bard, etc are very clean)

The green-ish gray foam piece is fine (it's still soft and intact) - it just has age a little.

The nickel / silver colored rectangle shaped metal switch that you step on - on the top side - is generally fine. It just has a very light - but visible very short dash scratches, a few tiny nicks, and a very small dot shiny spot.

The controls are SUSTAIN and LEVEL.

The jacks are INPUT, OUTPUT, and power

--

I took pictures of all sides of the pedal, there are a couple pictures of the inside (circuit board, etc), there are a few pictures of areas of interest / of concern.

NOTE:   There may be some imperfections that I overlooked.   There are some imperfections that can be seen in person that do not appear in the pictures.  Also  - there are some imperfections (glares, reflections, dust specks) that show up in the pictures that are not that visible in person.
