Sonic Fields Filou Fuzz (Limited handpainted edition - Serial #2)

Meet the Filou Fuzz, a very limited series of only 4 fuzz pedals:

• Unique design, hand painted by Antwerp based artist 'Fredandfilou'
• Hand wired by Sonic Fields
• Powered by a carefully measured and matched set of old stock germanium transistors. 

Transistors used for Serial no.2:

• Q1: AC128
• Q2 & Q3: RCA 2N270 (the same as in the original Maestro)

The Filou Fuzz is by no means a quiet beast. It’s a rather temperamental fuzz pedal. The circuit was based on the Maestro Fuzz Tone, the first fuzz pedal ever, but with some of my own tweaks.

• First of all there’s the ‘Tone’ knob, which was loosely based on a Tonebender style tone control. This control makes up for a more versatile fuzz and it gives the pedal a firmer low end.

• If you want a more authentic sounding fuzz, you can take the tone control completely out of the circuit with the ‘Tone bypass’ toggle switch. This way you can toggle between vintage and somewhat more modern fuzz tones.

• The Filou Fuzz is running at 9V and works with your standard ‘Boss-style’ center negative power supply. The original was running on 3V, which is not really convenient nowadays. However, it’s not suited to daisychain with other pedals.

Warranty:
A warranty of 2 years from the date of purchase applies to all Sonic Fields products. This warranty covers manufacturing defects during normal use.
All our stompboxes and other products are handmade with great care, but color deviations, slightly changed designs or minor flaws in the finish or layout are possible. These differences are not covered by warranty, but off course we try to limit them as much as possible.
If there’s any problem with one of our products during the warranty period, please contact us as soon as possible, before returning the product. We’ll first discuss the problem by phone or email. Sonic Fields reserves the right to decide whether the product should be repaired or replaced.
If a problem occurs after the warranty period has expired, you can off course still contact us to discuss the repair possibilities and the related costs.
