This vintage piece of pure Rock N' Roll history that is awe-inspiring and head-turning in both the looks and sounds categories. This original Ovation has all of the electronics in-tact and fully functional. It has a unique "cannon" growl sound that can only be experienced in person. It offers numerous different sounds allotted from the combination of pickup configurations and active FET preamp engineered by Ovation in the 1970's. You can split/blend the pickups as well as run them in series or parallel. You have the ability for crunchy blues all the way to soul inspiring, treble nourished clean leads. All of this while having a guitar that 99% of the population will never get their hands on. This Ovation has an elegance about its appearance - an "old money" vibe. She's about a 7/10 in the cosmetic department (factoring that it's almost 50 years old. I'd say it's an 8 or 9/10 in the playability department. Very nice action, not too high but not too low. You won't find another one like this, really. We've described this guitar to the best of our abilities but keep in mind this is a near 50 year old instrument.
