The head is a three-channel, all-tube guitar amplifier heads designed for modern high-gain tones but are also capable of delivering clean and crunch sounds. Key features of these amplifier heads include:

• Channels: Three channels (Clean, Rhythm, Lead) with a footswitchable pre-boost.
• EQ: A passive 3-band EQ with push-pull EQ shift controls on each channel.
• Power: The IRT60H is a 60-watt tube head, while the IRT120H is a 120-watt tube head. Some models also feature a "Vari-Watts" control to reduce the power output for lower volume playing.
