Vintage 1978 Gibson RD standard. I'm the second owner and I've owned it since 1982. This is my first bass I ever bought. I learned to play bass on it. This has the original hard shell case(OHSC) and the original parts inside the "glove box". There's been some upgrades. I still have all the original parts.

2. Tuners: Grover tuners

3. The fretboard has been serviced with a fret cleaning, polishing and clear coat

4. I hired a local luthier shop to install copper shielding tape in the electronics cavity and run a ground wire from the bridge to solve the noise issues

The original E string tuner failed to operate. So I replaced them with Grover tuners, which was the original manufacturer that Gibson used back in the day. These are the upgrade. I still have all the original tuners. They're in the "glove box", in the case. See the photo with the zip lock bags.

It has extra extra long Roto Sound 66, 45 - 105 strings on it because it's string thru the body. You get better tones that way.

For the age, this bass is super clean. There are some really light scratches on the pickguard and pick up covers. Very tiny dings in the body edge and head stock. There are no issues with the set neck. Don't let this one get away. Check out the photos. Please ask any questions you might have.
