Up for sale, a 2010 Dean Custom Shop USA Dave Mustaine Zero “XO” Limited Edition in showroom clean condition, complete with the original hardshell case, CoA/hangtags, and t-shirt. One of just 50 produced, with the instrument and CoA signed and numbered by Mustaine himself, this Explorer-style Dean was designed in collaboration with the thrash icon himself, boasting korina neck and body, an aged White finish, and a pair of Mustaine’s signature Seymour Duncan Livewire active pickups.

Sometimes called “super mahogany,” the korina body and neck offer a natural growl and midrange heft, qualities faithfully captured by the pickup pair. The Livewire Dave Mustaine Active pickups are potent and powerful, boasting an active preamp design that allows higher gain and more output without sacrificing feel and responsiveness. The resonant frequencies of the pickups have been matched to the classic Duncan pairing of an SH-4 JB bridge humbucker and an SH-2N Jazz, delivering that famous SD tonal spectrum with all the benefits of an active design. This Dave Mustaine Zero “XO” Limited Edition weighs 7lbs 6oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss White finish has been factory aged and distressed, with virtually no wear beyond the factory aging save for a couple tiny dings at the body points. The gloss on the neck profile is smooth and clean, also aged with synthetic palm wear, and there is a small cluster of shallow nicks behind fret 9 that have no impact on playability.

The original black tolex hardshell case is included, along with the serialized CoA (signed by Dave Mustaine and dated 4/27/10), hangtags, and Dean t-shirt.
