Vintage Gibson BR-6 Model Tube Amplifier (1951), made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Introduced in 1946, the BR-6 is a fairly long-lived amp in Gibson's line and a staple of the catalog for much of the 1950s. This is the second version of the model, which was re-styled and beefed up in 1948.
Recently professionally electronically reconditioned and serviced with all new caps, on/off power switch, rubber feet and retro handle. Please see invoice
This 1-10" speaker combo amp puts out 10-12 watts of warm Gibson tone that takes on a menacing edge when cranked! One brown chicken-head volume knob is the entire control array, with three inputs.
Please refer to pictures to note nicks, various nail holes from aftermarket covering but original Tolex is long gone. Leaving the raw original case with the famous Gibson "G" logo in the cross bar.
This amp has been professionally serviced, with the electronics completely updated including a grounded 110v cord.. The amplifier is fully functional and sounds fantastic with no static or humming.

From an online amp reviewer: The Gibson BR-6 is dark and honky (lots of midrange) that was the tone of Gibson amps until the early '60's or so. Sweet sounding clean channel .
