For sale is a rare Gibson F5 Gold Rush Master Model. Being a Master Model means this Mandolin was tap-tuned for unparalleled response. What is tap-tuning? Tap-tuning is the art of identifying the frequency response of each top, back, side and brace in order to build an acoustic instrument with the least amount of phase cancellation. This process was made popular by Lloyd Loar in the 1920's while employed at Gibson.
