And with this Eastman AR503CE, the Beijing-based guitar maker is launching a hollowbody archtop jazz guitar that is impressive across the board – and offers incredible value for money. This 16" jazz box comes with a curved, hand-carved solid spruce top and a beautifully grained flamed maple body, which, thanks to its hollow-body construction without a sustain block, not only delivers impressive acoustic volume but also weighs in at an outstanding 2.52kg. The instrument is therefore easy to handle, and the slim “C” neck profile on the glued, three-piece maple neck allows for nimble licks to flow smoothly from your fingers, while the richly grained ebony fingerboard with a wide 43.7mm bone nut also offers enough space for complex fingerings.

The Seymour Duncan Seth Lover humbucker at the neck transmits the acoustic, cheerful, woody timbre to the amp in a nuanced and warm way, which, with a fine tuning of the tone control, allows for a variety of jazz sounds.

Visually, the guitar impresses with a wonderfully gradient Classic Truetone high-gloss finish that successfully highlights the grain of the wood.
