The Gretsch G6130 Roundup Relic, a masterpiece crafted by master builder Chad Henrichsen, has finally arrived!

This 1955-spec Roundup with a chambered body delivers an incredible sound.

This particular model was originally ordered by our shop, and Gretsch Custom Shop has now produced it as a reorder.

The initial order was crafted by Stephen Stern, a master builder renowned for his expertise in archtop guitar construction who oversaw USA-made Gretsch guitars. Following his retirement, Chad Henrichsen carried on his legacy, creating this masterpiece. Regarding Chad Henrichsen: After excelling as a Fender guitar technician and serving as leader of the quality control department, he joined the Gretsch Custom Shop in 2008. He is a master builder renowned for his ability to discern subtle nuances and perfection, contributing his expertise to Gretsch Custom Shop craftsmanship.

This genuine instrument, crafted by a master builder, perfectly recreates the 1955-spec Roundup!!

Visually, it features a knotty pine top, a belt buckle tailpiece, and leather trim on the sides. True to Gretsch style, this Gretsch Model 6130 Round Up captivates with its overwhelming brilliance.

The original Dynasonic era model was produced in extremely limited quantities only in 1953, 1955, and 1957, making it a coveted piece for fans. The original is now an extremely rare collector's item.

The top features knotty pine wood.

Book-matched to create a symmetrical, distinctive look.

The color is influenced by the top wood's hue; this one boasts a slightly reddish, quintessentially Gretsch orange.

The Synchro-Sonic bridge, commonly known as the “Merita Bridge,” used only on higher-end models like the Falcon at the time.

Features exclusive to this era: the “G Brand” logo on the body top, western-themed leather trim on the body sides, and block inlays with engraved “Cow & Cactus” designs for the position markers.

The pickguard showcases a unique tortoise shell pattern with beautiful steer motifs. A distinctive feature of this model is the belt buckle mounted on the G-tailpiece, boldly proclaiming “The Gretsch Guitar”.

The chambered (hollow) body back and neck are crafted from mahogany.

A key structural element in full-hollow guitars designed to maximize top resonance is the flanged neck joint. This model faithfully incorporates that construction, a quintessential Gretsch trait.

The warm, hollow resonance unique to Gretsch and the acoustic tone produced by the mid-50s body construction are beautifully output by the pure and rich Dynasonic P.U. Beyond the quintessential twangy wound-string sound Gretsch is known for, the deeper, richer tone delivers an experience surpassing previous Gretsch expectations.

Master builder Chad Henriksen, carrying on Stephen Stern's legacy, has crafted this guitar with such dedication that it radiates an aura indistinguishable from vintage instruments.
