Bacchus Surfbreaker, a limited production model created for the Tokyo Guitar Show, with only six examples produced. Please note, it has been difficulty to properly capture the matte pearl white finish in photograph. It is a stunning, subtle finish.

This instrument sits in the same market category as Fender Custom Shop and other high-end boutique electric guitars, but is built within Bacchus’ Nagano workshop system, where instruments are produced in extremely small numbers by senior luthiers rather than production-line teams. Each instrument is individually completed, with attention given to fretwork, neck carve, body contouring, finishing, and final setup.

The Surfbreaker takes an offset-inspired platform and refines it into a highly resonant, lightweight instrument with immediate acoustic response and strong dynamic sensitivity.

Electronics are a key part of its specification. The guitar is fitted with a Mojotone pickup set, comprising a hand-wound P-90 in the neck position and a Mojotone humbucker in the bridge. Mojotone are a US boutique pickup maker known for small-batch, hand-built construction and traditional winding techniques. The result is a pickup set with strong harmonic content, clarity under gain, and a wide usable dynamic range. Coil tap functionality further extends tonal versatility.

The instrument is fitted with a 25.5” scale length, 42mm nut width, and 280R fingerboard radius, giving a familiar, balanced playing platform with modern stability and comfort.
