This 1997 Bourgeois Ricky Skaggs Country Boy dreadnaut is not only in great shape but also plays like a dream and sounds wonderful. High grade Mahogany back, sides and neck. The neck Shows some flame figure. It appears to have a “Bear-Clawed” Red Spruce top. Ebony fittings.
The peghead has pearl Bourgeois logo inlaid at top of Rosewood overlay. Nickel Kluson copy closed-back tuners with metal disc buttons. Bone nut. Gabon Ebony fingerboard has small pearl dot inlays and small side dot position markers along fingerboard. Fingerboard is bound with single black binding. Truss rod access is from the soundhole.
The Dreadnaut body is bound with Tortoise Celluloid bindings with the back having one single layer and the top has single Tortoise and also extra purflings of black/white wood strips inside the Tortoise perimeter. The bear-claw figure in the Red Spruce top is beautiful and interesting. Rosewood end wedge and thin Ebony stringer running along the center seam in the Mahogany back.
Not only does this guitar sound great acoustically, it also sounds fabulous when you plug it in. Big Sound.
Comes with its original hard case.
