DGN Custom Guitars - Tru-PAF "HiPo" - Brushed Nickel

I am absolutely thrilled to officially introduce the DGN Tru-PAF-“HiPo” Humbuckers.

A few months back my good friend Daniel Donato sent me text about creating pickups that had a little more output and push.  There was this “thing” that he was looking for for live gigs.  That quick text exchange sparked something I didn’t know I needed in my lineup.  

I spent months developing these pickups to do exactly what we set out to do, capture the tone of my Tru-PAF’s but with more output. BUT we also needed to harness the tapping abilities to retain that single coil tone that is very present in Daniels playing.  This is my most forward thinking pickup set ever.  Every single component was selected with purpose to contribute to the overall output and tone.  If you’re looking for a set of pickups more versatile than any you’ve played before, these are for you!!

Most humbuckers that coil tap end up having a huge volume drop.  Through magic, wizardry and science Ive been able to minimize that effect.  I won’t say it’s not there because then I’d be lying to you. What we do have is the perfect contrast of frequencies that are present in both the full hum and tapped single coil.  The full hum settings are full and smooth sounding with a very pleasing presence and full bottom end.  The tapped single coils are Bright and punchy with a snappy bottom end that holds together no matter how hard you hit it.  You get the best of both worlds all out of one pickup set.  Add my JGS in the middle for the complete tonal package.
