Ovation 1761 Standard Balladeer 1995 - ish - honey burst

We are a music store and sold Ovations for many years. This one recently came in on a trade. It is a USA made Standard Balladeer and we're asking less than what some people pay for an import round back.

The neck is straight and the string action is very low, as you'd expect on a US made Ovation. The guitar is very easy to play, easy to press down the fingers on the strings, not always the case. The finish is vibrant and good with just the exception of a few small impressions. You can see in the 3rd picture what our in-house luthier says appears to be a repaired hairline crack in the finish. There are a few other stretch or expansion marks around the back of the bridge but they seem stable. This has been in our store for a while and those have not gotten any bigger or worse. Ovations, and we love 'em here, sometimes have finish cracks. It's only mildly cosmetic. Other than that, this guitar appears to have very few miles on it. There are no pick scratches from Pete Townsend style playing or anything like that.

This is a full bowl, or deep bowl and has a large sound. We are selling the guitar without a case as that's how it came in to us. We may have a case or bag available but for today, we're selling the guitar only. What you see is what you get. Please make sure this is what you want as we don't so returns.

I pack these things myself and I believe I do a very good job of packing. That said, if something does happen during shipping, the amount you pay for shipping includes full insurance.

Please ask any questions you'd like. I've played ovations myself even before we began selling them in the store. I still use them on my acoustic duo gigs, a 6 & a 12. You can't beat them for durability and great live sound on the band stand.
