Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome.
You are looking at a unique and popular 1970's era Atlas MS-12C model cast iron microphone Base with an Atlas GN-19 gooseneck and an Atlas P3F XLR connector which is a very practical design for a drummer, seated musician or broadcaster and this stand comes with the short 30 inch cable in which to operate. This custom mod stand is great for any smaller, medium or larger XLR stick mic you have.
Pic # 2 shows the MS-12C model as well as several others in an old Atlas catalog. This is just the base of course but it's quite larger and heavy so using this as a steady platform just makes sense. With the flexible GN-19 on top you can get some decent height and you can also bend the mic in any direction that you might use without ever worrying about the stand falling over.
Simply slide your mic onto the top of the Atlas P3F connector / adapter and it locks into place. This stand is appx 23 inches tall when the gooseneck is raised completely upright but as you can see in the pics provided you can get any angle desired from this. You can place this on any podium as well as the ground.
The 19 inch gooseneck is quite flexible but rigid and the gooseneck looks very nice with two small holes at the bottom where the cable exits from. The Switchcraft XLR adapter attaches to the end of the Gooseneck and is very secure. There is a short 2 foot cable that runs down the length of the gooseneck that exits out from the gooseneck and it has a vintage Switchraft male XLR connector and the cable is balanced. Simply attach any longer XLR cable of choice as an extension to the short one provided. Cable is soft, pliable and in excellent working condition. The P3F is in like new condition. The gooseneck can be quickly unscrewed from the base if needed and you can use the gooseneck with all the other accessories on any other stand if needed.
You can see that the original black paint on the base is in very nice condition with just a couple tiny paint chips and scratches. No corrosion or discoloration.
The base is roughly 9 pounds. The MS-12C still has 3 original rubber pads on the bottom to keep it from scratching any surface it rests on.
Overall I would rate this mic stand an 8 + on a scale of 1 - 10 in the cosmetic department. This stand is ready for any XLR mic you have.
