The 'True Historic' Custom Shop 1957 Les Paul Gold Top was only produced in 2015/16 are are widely considered to be the most accurate recreation of the legendary '57 Les Paul. It has additional hand-crafted details and features not available on other '57 reissues over the years and is a highly desirable and collectible model, it should not be confused with other standard 1957 Custom Shop reissues.

It is very lightweight, and features include more accurate profiles, reformulated plastics based on lab analysis of original vintage parts, double-carved and hand sanded neck and top profiles, thin wet-sanded lacquer, an authentic dish profile, Hot Hide Glue joinery and historically accurate serial numbers. This example is in very good condition with just minor blemishes/wear on close inspection, and some minor lacquer checking near one of the pots, all as detailed in the photos. Everything works as it should without issue and there's no breaks or repairs.

Available in very limited quantities, this is the closest you can come to owning an original vintage Les Paul from 1957 without spending hundreds of thousands of pounds. It represents fanatical levels of detail accuracy, employing new processes, new materials, and new skills to give you an entirely authentic ownership experience, placing the beauty, feel, and tone of an original 1950s Gibson in your hands.

Of course, classic Les Paul elements are there - including the nitro finished Mahogany body, flamed Maple top, chunky Mahogany neck with Rosewood fretboard with 12" radius, medium jumbo frets, True Historic backplate, and deluxe tuners. The Custom-wound Custom Bucker pickups provide the ultimate in vintage Les Paul tones - and anyone who plays this guitar will instantly feel where the legendary status of the '57 comes from.

It is a very lightweight example at only 8lb 3oz, and it comes complete with its original Lifton-style case, True Historic COA, and paperwork. This is a guitar for those who demand the very best in historical accuracy, and is a great future investment that will appeal to both players and collectors.
