This upper-tiered “Crafted in Japan” model was produced exclusively for the Japanese domestic market and is uncommon outside of its country of origin, featuring a trio of USA-made Fender Custom Shop Texas Special pickups.

Tonewoods include an alder body and one-piece maple neck, ensuring a clear, balanced platform for the Texas Specials pickups. These Custom Shop Fender single coils match vintage spec with black fiber bobbins, cloth-covered leads and staggered alnico magnets, delivering a bevy of sparkling classic Strat tonalities with a slightly aggressive overwound snap. The bridge is twangy and chewy, and the neck has a full, bell-like clarity, and the “in-between” positions have ample hollow quack. This Strat weighs 7lbs 5oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
