LSL makes absolutely fantastic guitars! I own 3 of them.
Almost everything is produced in house. They do not outsource necks or bodies, etc. However, in the case of the Era series, they do use Duncan pickups.
Gorgeous grain on this lightweight resonant roasted pine body on this guitar. Weight is around 7 pounds.
I recently learned (directly from LSL) that moving forward, they are only doing Roasted wood on their custom orders as upgrades, so get this WHILE YOU CAN!
This guitar is fantastic and I am struggling to part with it. I have a duplicate tele, but have sentimental attachment to my other one, so this is up for sale.
Regarding the pick ups.…. The stock pick ups were Seymour Duncan’ 59 humbucker and a stacked TELE bridge. They were OK, (yes noiseless), but lacking the bite I was after.
I put a Duncan Seth Lover HB in the neck and a Vintage for Broadcaster in the bridge, as well as a treble bleed circuit, so you do not lose your highs as you roll back the volume. All of this was definitely an upgrade in tone, (in my opinion).
Because of the nitro flash coat, you can “feel” the wood. It is so resonant. However, I did not like how it had a “orange-peel” feel and appearance in texture.
I took a very fine grade of polishing pad to the body to smooth out this texture. Now it is perfect!
If you hate how many Fenders feel like they are dipped and covered in plastic, you will absolutely love the feel of this guitar!
Regard up-close appearance, there is some wear along the top edge of the body and there are a couple very minor dings on the back of the body. If you are someone who wants your instruments to stay in pristine condition, I’d probably advise against purchasing. Because of the pine body and the thin nitro coat, it’s going to show wear. But if you are someone who loves to play the instrument and does not mind that it shows, this may be right up your alley!
LSL heavyweight padded gig bag is included. These are fantastic! Much more practical than a hard case.
Below is form LSL website:

LSL's first production model offers high level specs you wouldn't expect from such a reasonably priced guitar. The LSL Instruments Era Series is an effort to put forth a true player's series guitar with boutique quality build standards at a price point that most working musicians can afford.
These are lightly aged guitars by LsL Instruments with a thin Nitrocellulose flash-coat lacquer finish. Expect to see small nicks and dings as you would on any lightly aged/relic'd guitar.
