Offering a vintage and 1940's Electro Voice V1 Ribbon Microphone. The V1 was part of the "V-Series" which included the V1, V2 and V3, with the V1 being the smaller of the series. This one has been very well maintained very over the years and it shows...actually one of the nicest V1's I have ever come across!

      Internally, the factory drive was no longer viable, so we've installed a new and upgraded ribbon drive, while retaining the original factory transformer. It sounds fabulous with rich lows and natural mids-highs. The output is good, but the on-off switch has been bypassed so is live all the time. (Voice sample available upon request.)

     The mic stand threads are undamaged, and the front and rear wire mesh screens have been sanitized. (The EV maker's badge is readable.) The two side thumbnuts have been replaced. This sale includes a brand new short adapter cable, screw-on Switchcraft connector to male XLR plug, (just plug in your XLR extension cable, or if you need one, we can provide that.)
