BOSS's first octave pedal and a legendary unit!

An early Japanese-made unit from the era when the chassis logo read “Octaver” has arrived.

Its simple 3-control layout allows flexible adjustment of the original tone alongside 1-octave and 2-octave down sounds.

It can also be used to output only the octave sound.

While it lacks upper octave or polyphonic support and exhibits some instability inherent to analog circuits (such as difficulty with sustained notes), its natural, fat octave sound earned high praise and was faithfully carried forward in its successors, the OC-3 and OC-5.
