The Barefoot Sound Footprint01 Gen2 is a compact 3-way active monitor that improves on the original Footprint01 design with a tri-amplified architecture, updated drivers, advanced DSP with SPOC technology, and a refined cabinet design. It still features the same Dual-Force technology, MEME speaker emulation, and classic Barefoot sound we all know and love, now with even better performance. UPGRADED DEVELOPED BAREFOOT DRIVERS

The Footprint01 features improved drivers engineered for extended linear excursion, reduced distortion, and improved thermal handling. The 8-inch aluminum woofers, 5-inch aluminum cone midrange driver, and 1-inch dual-ring radiator tweeter are each optimized to deliver tighter imaging, more accurate transients, and optimal dispersion.

TRI-AMPLIFIED 3-WAY ARCHITECTURE

At the heart of the Gen2 Footprint01 is a true tri-amped design that separates the frequency spectrum into low, mid, and high-frequency bands with individual amplifier modules to achieve optimal performance for each driver. Powered by Class D amplifiers rated at 500W for LF, 150W for MF, and 60W for HF (with crossover points set at 170 Hz and 3.6 kHz), the Footprint01 delivers plenty of power. Compared to the Gen1 models, the Gen2s offer increased headroom, reduced intermodulation, and impressive dynamic range even at high SPLs. The Gen2s also deliver improved phase coherence and transient detail, especially when working with modern productions that demand both deep bass and detailed top end.

SPOC ANALOG CROSSOVER FILTERING

SPOC (Spectrally Optimized Conversion) technology takes a smarter approach to digital conversion. By using analog-style crossover filtering before the signal is converted to digital, SPOC improves signal-to-noise ratio, digital resolution, and transient response while minimizing latency. In everyday workflows, this translates to more detailed high-end and "air", making it easier to judge tonal balance, sibilance, reverb, and more.

ADVANCED DSP ENGINE AND MEME TECHNOLOGY

The Footprint01 Gen2 features an advanced DSP engine built for clean, high-resolution sound with ultra-low latency. It also includes Barefoot’s Multi-Emphasis Monitor Emulation (MEME) technology, letting you check your mix through accurate models of familiar references like modded NS10s, classic mix cubes, plus Flat Mode and Hi-Fi Mode.
