This 1959 Gibson GA-40 Combo is in Good Vintage condition with normal wear for an amplifier of this age, including ripped and lifting tolex plus some general staining.  The better an amp is, the more it's played, and the more it's played, the more it acquires the kind of vintage vibe we see here.  We love the look of honest wear and tear on a vintage amp or guitar.  Most importantly, this amp is fully functional and sounds truly awesome.

15 to 18 watts from two 6V6 power tubes.  Original transformers.  Original Jensen Alnico speaker.  Original Oxblood grillcloth.  It still has its original two-prong ungrounded power cord and we always recommend that owners consider converting to a modern three-prong for safety reasons.  Might also benefit from a precautionary recap as do most amplifiers of this era.  Note: We don't do amp servicing or repair in our shop.

Gibson amplifiers have long been undervalued in the vintage amp world but those in the know love them for their classic tones and durability.  This is a good'un, folks.  Snag it while you can.  And please feel free to contact us for an in-hand description and to answer any questions you may have.
