1965 Guild X-50 Cordoba
The full body (2 7/8" deep) Guild X-50 and it's thinner body (2") companion model T-50 were both given the name Guild Cordoba - with the only difference being this body depth (The T-50 was referred to as Cordoba "slim"). Actually the X-50 started life in 1954 as the Guild Granada, changing to Cordoba around about the time the thinline T-50 was introduced. The X-50 could also be considered a non-cutaway version of the Guild Capri CE-100.
The Guild Cordoba X-50 was described as follows in the 1968 Guild catalog
Two models engineered to the needs of advanced students. Body size of Model X-50 is 16 3/8" wide, 20 1/4" long, 2 7/8" deep. Body of Model T-50 "Slim" is only 2" deep. Both models have special Guild fast-action Honduras mahogany neck and adjustable steel neck rod, rosewood fingerboard with pearl position markers, short-action professional scale. Single built-in Guild "Frequency-Tested" pick-up has individual adjustment screws and separate tone and volume controls. Both models have nickel-plated harp tailpiece.
Guitar Sounds & Looks Beautiful, comes with hardshell Gibson case.
