This is a vintage 1930's Audiovox 7 String Lap Steel guitar. This is a pretty cool piece of history as it was one of the first electric guitar instruments.

This particular instrument is in fair condition given its age. It could benefit from a restoration of sorts, hence the much lower price than other listings on Reverb. Some issues with the guitar are the following: The stain/ finish of the guitar is very old and cracking off. There is a crack in the wood of the instrument as documented in the photos. The guitar currently doesn't have strings on it, the old strings have been removed, but some of the ball ends of the former strings are still in the string holes. You will probably need a long metal pick tool of sorts to remove them. I didn't want to try myself and risk potentially damaging the instrument more.

At some point in the instrument's life a Kiesel pickup replaced the original pickup. The pickup and volume knob both function as intended. It also looks as if some of the tuner knobs on the tuning heads may not be original as well since they are aged differently. The tuners all function as intended. The guitar comes with original case which is also in fair condition. It functions as intended, but does have scrapes and tears on it.

Please review the photos as I did my best to document the condition of the instrument. Please let me know if you have any questions. This item will be packaged very well for shipping.
