Introducing the Hoedown Special, a fiddle designed to be an exceptional value for the player on a budget.

Although this would be an excellent instrument for most music genres, the aesthetics of this fiddle are fitted to suit the bluegrass/old-time player's tastes. Rather than using expensive highly figured, fancy grained tonewoods, this fiddle maximizes the potential that simple tonewoods can offer. A unique process is used to give the hand-rubbed oil varnish a dark rustic appearance without killing the tonal properties of the wood. The top plate has been carefully scraped to reveal a beautiful corduroy texture of the risen wood grain, and random "character" marks have been randomly placed on the surface to give it that vintage worn look. Premium ebony fittings top off the fiddle in a traditional manner.

This fiddle is very responsive making it a great choice for fast paced music. It has outstanding tonal clarity as you fly through the notes giving smoothness and elegance. It is set up with Helicore strings, a player favorite, and has four fine tuners for quick and easy tuning. It has a delicately carved Despiau bridge and carefully positioned premium spruce soundpost.

A black hardshell case is included with this fiddle.
