The 1971 Gibson Les Paul Standard 1954/58 Reissue is a solid-body electric guitar featuring a carved maple top over a mahogany body. The neck is mahogany with a rounded profile, and the fingerboard is rosewood with 22 frets and trapezoid inlays. The scale length is 24.75 inches, and the headstock carries the Gibson logo.

This guitar is equipped with Seymour Duncan P90 pickups in the neck and bridge positions, providing a range of tonal options. The controls include two volume knobs, two tone knobs, and a three-way pickup selector switch. The bridge is a reproduction component, and the tuners have also been replaced with Kluson Deluxe tuners.

Additional modifications include a replaced jackplate and reproduced studs. The finish retains a classic sunburst look characteristic of Les Paul models from the mid-20th century. The overall construction preserves the Les Paul Standard shape, weight, and tone, combining vintage aesthetics with modern replacement parts.
