FANTASTIC playing instrument with a wonderful full-bodied and balanced tone!  Has nicks, scratches, dings, checking and wear expected for a guitar its age (including some wear on the back of the neck) but no cracks, and what's really amazing is its level of originality!  Almost always on these guitars you see replaced pickups or hardware, and/or serious binding rot, none of which is the case here.  There are check in the binding in a few places, but the binding is solid with no sections peeling or replaced.  The pickguard, which has some rippling, appears to have one replaced screw.   Strap button on base of guitar is a replacement.  I thought that the lower section section of the bakelite underneath the lead pickup had been removed but the baklite that should be there is in place--actually it is apparent now that an extra matching bakelite section was added (can be removed if desired) underneath the bridge pickup to raise it closer to the strings--the neck pickup was already close enough to the strings so there was no need to raise it--see closeup added of the pickups.  Otherwise this guitar appears to be 100% original down to the bakelite knobs!  The original case has some wear and a taped handle but is solid and the interior is not musty-- overall in great shape for a case of its age.
