Burny RLC '57 LP Custom 3PU Black " The Revival series "
【About This item and Sound】
This RLC is a replica of a 1957 Les Paul Custom 3 Pick up from “The Revival series,” the vintage guitars pursued by FERNANDES. As proof of the top-of-the-line model, it has a carefully selected mahogany body, one-piece mahogany neck with 17-degree head angle, and FERNANDES' top-of-the-line pickup: VH-1 x3. The body is finished in black lacquer to replicate the look of vintage guitars like Black Beauty. Very cool. The lightning bolt diamond inlay on the headstock and the shape of the truss rod cover suggest that it was manufactured between 1989 and 1992.
One reason rock fans love the Les Paul Custom is its cool looks.
But the real reason to choose the ‘LPC57 3Pick-up’ is likely the tone of its all-mahogany body.
The RLC'57 delivers a warm, sticky sound in the midrange, making it understandable why guitarists who love gritty blues choose this guitar when seeking a rock sound.
The phase sound characteristic of the center position with three pickups is a unique trait of this guitar. The slightly sharper sound seems to have been intentional on the part of "G" Company, likely conscious of the sound of the then-emerging "F" Company.
The sound of the royal sound of Rock guitars.
The "VH-1" pickup on this RLC is the pinnacle of FERNANDES' vintage-spec humbucking pickups. Thoroughly studied Old PAF, it produces a clear sound with warmth and brightness. Emphasis is also placed on pitch accuracy, beautiful reproduction of overtones, and balance between attack and reverberation.
The acoustic feel of the guitar when played unplugged or in clean sound proves the quality of this guitar's construction. Of course, if you crank up the gain, the guitar can drive everything from 50s R&R to 60s R&B, from late 60s British rock to 80s hard rock, and even up to the present day. It responds to both bold and whispered playing.
Definitely one of the best Japanese vintage guitars.

【 About "FERNANDES・Burny" , "The Revival Series" 】
In 1972, FERNANDES began selling electric guitars in earnest. Fernandes did not have its own factory, but had a Japanese OEM factory manufacture its own planned products. Acoustic guitars were Hayashi Gakki. Electric guitars were handled by Fujigen, Matsumoku, Kawai and Terada Gakki, all leading Japanese factories. Therefore, there was no compromise, and the quality was first-rate.
Depending on the type, it had two brand names: "FERNANDES" for the Fender model series and "Burny" for the Gibson model series.
Burny began producing foreign-made copies of its models in the 1970s. The lineup included maniacal specifications and colors, which were different from those of other Japanese manufacturers. These guitars were immediately popular among the young people of Japan at the time. However, Fernandes aimed for a higher level and launched "The Revival Series" in 1981. The idea was to thoroughly research and reproduce vintage guitars. The initial letter "R" of "Revival" was added to the beginning of the part number, as in "RST/RLC". The golden era was from 1984 to 1990, and the construction and attention to detail were superb. Although overshadowed by Greco and Tokai, the Burny is undoubtedly one of the best Japan vintage guitars.
