Dallas George Formby Registered Model D Banjo Ukelele/Banjolele - c. 1938, Serial D/2103 with Original Patent Leather Case
A rare Type D Banjolele from the George Formby Registered series, made by John E. Dallas & Sons, London circa 1938. This model was endorsed by George Fomby and was one of the top of the range, featuring birdseye maple resonator, body and neck and a highly polished finish. George Formby himself was often seen using this model on stage and screen. This pre-war example comes complete with its original fitted patent leather case and a 1927 Ukelele and Banjolele song book, making it especially desirable for collectors.
