Checkerboard 82 Special.
This one’s been played to hell and back. The finish is checking all over - no issues, but I’ve never seen a guitar with so much cool checking everywhere. I had read the Hamer guys used “old nitro” back in the day without the plasticizers.
I can include the original black knobs and tip - those are Phila luthier high end vintage spec knobs and tip, I thought looked better.
Has a pro headstock repair. Also has a square tab super distortion! I don’t really buy into mojo too much but something about that old bridge pickup just kills!
Case is original but beat to hell. Would prefer a local sale but if not, will pack survive nuclear war and insure for full price.
This is a pure rock machine from the golden age at Hamer. Neck reminds me of an SG Junior I had before. Not fat but not super slim. A little flat - very easy to play. This little devil just screams.
