Mayones K Custom Superstrat Guitar SSH from 90'

For sale made of special order guitar from the early 90's of the well-known Polish brand Mayones from the K series. On the headstock still old logo (used until 1995 and misspelled "New Way of Traditional").

Body: Alder

Neck: Maple and Sycamore

Fingerboard: Maple

Fixed bridge: no name - most likely handcrafted in Poland at the Mayones request

Tuners: Schaller (Made in Germany)

Pickups: SSH configuration. They don't have any markings. In my opinion, there are original Mayones production from those years, although when I bought it, the sellers assured that the singles were Mayones and the humbuckers were the original German Schaller. Singles have 5.1-5.2 kOhm and a very classic Strat sound. The humbucker is hot. It has 3 wires and is connected to 2 in series at 14.2 kOhm. The third wire for disconnecting the coil is insulated. Each pickup can be turned on and off with a separate switch. This gives many more combinations than in a traditional 5 way single switch layout. The potentiometers are master tone and volume. Korean made - Alpha. Replaced with new ones, because the old ones could no longer cope. Capacitor 0,033 uF .

On the top of the board there is one big crack in the varnish going from the potentiometer to the edge of the board. The wood is intact. If you take into account that the instrument is near 30 years old, the condition of the board should be assessed as good. All rest has usual scratches and bruises.

Neck with an inverted headstock. Convenient in Superstrat style. Frets will serve for years. At the point of gluing the neck with the headstock, the varnish is worn to the wood. The black marker on the edge of the 3rd fret is lost. The trus rod works good. His cover is not original.

The instrument is very comfortable and well b alanced. The strings are set very low on the border of a light fretbuzz, because I like to play with an extra claw on a stronger hit. They can be raised to a standard height and everything will be perfect.
