Here's a very cool vintage tenor banjo from Vega, the Style X, No. 9 Tu-ba-phone model from 1923.  Definitely one of their higher end offerings at the time.  Gorgeous inlays, Kershner adjustable tailpiece, neck carving, "pie plate" back, and extended fretboard.  Sounds great - louder than you might expect.

This example has a missing inlay at the 10th fret, as well as at the base of the neck.  One tuner button has been replaced but is an old ivory button.  Otherwise appears to be "all there."  I am not a banjo player, so see the pictures for more details.

The original hardshell case sports the Vega logo inside.  It exhibits normal cosmetic wear, and the handle is missing.  The hinges and latches are operational.

Include a reprint of the catalog page as shown.

This would be a great tenor banjo, or possibly a candidate to convert to a 5 string.  Thanks for looking!
