Epifani UL-502 bass amp head in very good to excellent condition. I'm the original owner, and purchased it new from Aantone's Music in Fremont, CA in 2005. It's been my primary solid-state amp since then, but as I rarely use amps live any more another player can benefit more from it.

If you're not familiar with Nick Epifani (super friendly + helpful!) or Epifani amps and cabs (highly recommend), the UL-502 is a boutique amp known for transparency, punch, and articulate tone with a quick response. It sports a nice big transformer and delivers true solid-state sound, with 600 watts @ 4 ohms (300 watts @ 8 ohms) and plenty of headroom.

This is a highly-flexible two-channel amp:

• Run two basses into it at once -- great for players who double on electric and upright, or those who bring both an active and passive bass to gigs
• Access either channel from either input -- e.g. one set for fingerstyle, the other for slap
• Set the effects loop to operate in either Series or Parallel
• The EQ section offers flexible tone shaping with active shelving and semi-parametric mids
• Operates (and stays cool) with no fan -- useful for recording

All knobs, switches, and jacks work as they should, and this has always been kept in a smoke-free studio. I sent the amp back to Nick twice over the years: once to add a modification which protects the DI from phantom power, and another time to repair one of the front jacks (see photo, the lower one is the replacement jack that Nick installed).
