This Recording King Model M-2 / 1136 came to us with all original components and in good condition. This listing includes the chipboard case. Like all of our new and used instruments, this guitar has been setup professionally by one of our in-house luthiers in E Standard to it's best possible playability for its age. * HAVE QUESTIONS? Cosmetic Overview: Our "out of 5" rating system is designed to better help prospective buyers understand the cosmetic condition of the item. This does NOT relate to structural integrity or functionality unless otherwise stated. All of our instruments are tested for functionality upon intake and are setup in house.

• Body (3/5): The body is in good condition with plenty of signs of wear. There is a healthy amount of finish checking, a particularly large scratch next to the tailpiece, as well as other clear examples of dings, dents, scratches, and scrapes. Portions of the body/finish are cloudy from the aging lacquer. There is a small white paint drip under the edge of the pickguard on the face of the body. Refer to attached photos and don't be afraid to ask for more!

• Neck/Fingerboard/Headstock (3/5): The neck and fingerboard are in good condition with clear signs of wear. Where the body's binding meets the heel of the neck, there is a small gap where the neck and body are joined. Cloudy portions of the lacquer present on the neck as well as a healthy amount of finish checking. Natural wear in the neck around where you'd be playing cowboy chords present. Signs of wear around the headstock. No truss rod but the neck is surprisingly straight for it's age. The guitar plays cleanly up the neck until you get to where the neck-heel meets the body and then there are some trouble spots where it frets out.

• Hardware (3/5): The hardware is in good condition, with clear signs of visible patina and aging. As shown in some of the attached photos, some of the tuning machines are bent. They do still function but would be worth changing if you planned on frequently playing the instrument. All components are functioning properly.
