A 40 year old guitar that proves the superiority for which Jackson guitars is very well known. This amazing San Dimas Soloist is not only a flawless looking guitar, but also totally functional. The neck is in perfect shape (no twisted); truss rod works smoothly and without issues; no cracks in the fretboard, neck or body (the white spot on the tip of the headstock is something from factory) . The Kahler tremolo bridge is totally functional, staying in tune no matter how much the tremolo bar Is used.
Original electronics, string lock, tuners, nut and frets have not been replaced. Fret nibs are even still on the guitar, which is a common feature in some Jacksons made between 1983-1986. To improve the playability, the original frets were plek’d about 3 years ago, so the guitar can be set up with very low action and very accurate intonation. Pickups were changed for Seymour Duncans though. The original ones, which were a Jackson humbucker J90 and two Jackson single coil J100, are not included. It comes with a Jackson hard shell case.
The guitar is setup with 09-42 Elixir strings for E standard tuning.
