Gibson / 1967 J-45 Cherry Sunburst

With its deep reddish cherry sunburst color and Gotoh tuning machines, this guitar is truly a quintessential 1967 guitar.

The same year, the tobacco sunburst J-45, famously worn by Takuro Yoshida, was revived. This change from the cherry sunburst colorway that was prone to fading up until 1966 also represents this year's model.

The tuning machines are also unique to this period.
The open-back guitar features a striking, glossy finish, and the back is stamped with "JAPAN." They're made by Gotoh, a leading Japanese parts manufacturer.
It's quite moving to think that Gibson, a leading American guitar brand, and its signature model, the J-45, have used Japanese-made parts since the late 1960s.

The sound is crisp thanks to the narrow neck and adjustable bridge, and the thick, compressed mid-low range is very satisfying. It's also great for aggressive strumming.

[Performance Condition]
- String Height at the 12th Fret: 2.5mm (6th string), 2.0mm (1st string)
- Adjustable saddle allows for precise string height adjustment.
- Repaired/reinforced crack at bottom center of body top
- Repaired cracks in two places on back of body
- Frets, nut, and bridge pins replaced
