Early ’80s ESP 400 Series Stratocaster with the very rare pre-lawsuit Fender headstock. Premium Fender Stratocaster ’62 Reissue featuring a one-piece maple neck and four-bolt joint. The neck is straight with excellent frets. The fretboard was cut at some point at the nut to make space for a roller-style nut (the nut is included with the listing).
The guitar has its original pickup selector, with wiring for ground and jack attached. It’s unclear if the pickguard is original, but all of the holes line up correctly. There are numbers stamped into the bottom of the neck, which I believe were added by a previous owner to match the serial number on a Fender neck plate they were using.
The neck is very smooth, with fast action and a great vintage feel. The body is solid, made from dense wood that provides significant sustain.
