The Taylor Legacy 810e pays tribute to Bob Taylor’s original Dreadnought design from the mid-1970s while incorporating modern refinements for today’s players. With its solid Indian rosewood back and sides paired with a Sitka spruce top, this guitar produces a bold, balanced tone with shimmering overtones, strong projection, and the power strummers and flatpickers love. Traditional X-bracing drives its booming resonance, while subtle design touches — like white binding and a green abalone rosette — recall Taylor’s earliest 800 Series guitars.
The updated Taylor neck offers a modern, comfortable carve with smooth playability across the fingerboard. Mother-of-pearl Large Diamond inlays add vintage-inspired elegance, while details such as a faux-tortoiseshell pickguard and ebony bridge pins with abalone dots highlight its timeless style. Equipped with an LR Baggs Element VTC pickup for natural amplified tone and shipped in a deluxe hardshell case, the Legacy 810e is both a nod to history and a finely tuned instrument for the future.
