The Tech 21 Double Drive takes a different approach to dirt by running two kinds of tube-style clipping in series: the chiming, even-order richness of Class A alongside the punchy odd-order harmonics of Class A/B. By blending or cascading the two, it moves from touch-sensitive jangle through chewy mid crunch into thick, saturated drive. With the gains rolled down it doubles as a clean boost, and the 3X edition expands things further with three programmable presets and a full 3-band EQ. Built tough and voiced to feel like an amp, it’s a versatile choice for players chasing dynamic, harmonically complex overdrive in a single box.
